Many times the most innovative solutions we create come directly from the customized work that we do for our customers. The demand for out-of-the-box solutions actually helps us drive our own product innovation, while also meeting the unique needs of our customers.
This was exactly the case when a major arm of the Department of Defense (DoD) asked us to create a secure, web-based situational awareness capability, called the customer WebTool, which offers a comprehensive view of all missions, end-end circuit uptime status, all satellite coverage maps, troubleshooting diagnostics and trouble ticket management. IGC’s WebTool integrates into the existing IP network of the client and identifies every vital piece of information needed for mission success.
The custom WebTool provides deep insights while allowing for enhanced operational efficiencies by improving workflow and providing comprehensive online graphical and tabular reporting that includes RF parameters, data rates associated with circuits, latency and more. More important, WebTool allows the DoD to actually schedule and manage its missions.
The benefits of WebTool are tremendous and include:
· Increased proactive responsiveness of the IGC NOC to support customer requirements;
· Increased customer real time knowledge and situational awareness of the operational status of their circuits customer circuits and resolution of issues;
· Reduced operations labor for both customer and IGC, and;
· Ability of the customer to perform bandwidth optimization.
