General Hyten Lays Out the Road Ahead in Space

Happy New Year wishes to all our readers! SatCom Frontier is proud to present an in-depth Space News interview with General John Hyten, Commander of the U.S. Air Force Space Command.

In the interview, General Hyten explains his vision for the Command’s, the constant need to become a faster and more nimble organization, extending real-time capabilities in “contested scenarios” and the “maturing” foreign threats in space.

Hyten also talks about growing up in the shadow of Saturn Five development, and the challenge of running an organization with over 40,000 professionals operating out of 134 locations around the globe.

The interview below includes an introduction from Intelsat General President Kay Sears. IGC looks forward to working closely with General Hyten and U.S. Air Force Space Command in building a next-generation space architecture.
