Kelley Harar
Kelley Harar, Vice President Finance & Accounting, is responsible for all aspects of Intelsat General's financial operations, including accounting; financial/business planning; Cost Accounting Standard and Sarbanes Oxley compliance; and information technology. Recently, she and her team implemented an Enterprise Resource Planning system to support the sales, operations, and accounting functions at IGC. This innovative tool allows the company to better serve its customers with a secure, seamless, cross-functional business process from pre-sales to implementation and monitoring. This efficient system ensures Intelsat General customers of fast, accurate, and transparent solutions.
Ms. Harar has more than 15 years of experience leading financial organizations and her breadth of experience includes both large, complex SEC registrants and fast-paced start-up companies. She has worked in the satellite communications industry for 10 years with companies in both the commercial and government sectors.
Before joining Intelsat, Ms. Harar was with ICG Satellite Services and became Chief Financial Officer when that company was acquired by American Tower Corporation. Through her leadership, the company, renamed Verestar, acquired several major businesses which resulted in significant growth. She began her career with Halliburton and held numerous senior financial management positions within the Halliburton family of companies where she was instrumental in improving profitability.
Ms. Harar earned a BS degree in Accounting from East Carolina University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
