Mark Daniels

Vice President, Engineering & Operations

Mark Daniels serves as Vice President of Engineering and Operations for Intelsat General Corporation. Mr. Daniels is responsible for all engineering and operations activities including managing the Intelsat General Secure Operations Center (ISOC), Intelsat General operations in Paumalu, HI and Pt. Magu, CA, and liaison activities with the Intelsat Ltd. engineering and operations management staff. He has 24 years of broad experience managing engineering and operations groups in the satellite communication and aerospace industries.

Previously, Mr. Daniels served in senior program management, engineering management, and operations management positions at Verestar Government Services, PanAmSat, and ORBCOMM. Mr. Daniels’ experience includes overall responsibility for design, integration, implementation, operation, and maintenance of complex hybrid satellite & terrestrial communication solutions in the fixed satellite services (FSS) and mobile satellite services (MSS) industries.

Prior to that he served in group management, program management and engineering management positions at EER Systems where he was responsible for aerospace flight and ground system design, development, integration, launch, and profit/loss performance for many government and commercial programs including development and flight of launch vehicles and payloads. Mr. Daniels also has extensive experience with business process development and government proposal generation.

Mr. Daniels received a BS in Aerospace Engineering and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also an instrument-rated private pilot.
