Intelsat General has been selected for the 2011 Best of Bethesda Award in the Data Communications Services category by the US Commerce Association.  The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country...that have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category.  These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

Intelsat General has been recognized as a Boeing Performance Excellence Award Recipient for 2009 and 2010. IGC is only one of 128 suppliers to be awarded the Gold level of recognition for superior supplier performance.

Kay Sears, President, Intelsat General Corporation, was recently appointed to the judges panel for the "The Space Foundation's 2010 Space Technology Hall of Fame." The impressive panel of judges includes a senior NASA advisor, U.S. and European space policy experts, executives of major aerospace companies, the superintendent of one of Colorado's largest school districts, a famed aerospace journalist, and a senior member of Germany's national research center for aeronautics and space. 

Intelsat General Wins ISCe's 2007 Industry Leadership Award for leadership in the vital government and military sector of the industry. Citing examples such as IGC's 10-year contract to provide service to Germany's Armed Forces, becoming one of two prime satellite operators on the General Service Administration's SATCOM-II program, and being selected by the US Defense Department to test Internet routing in space, award presenters stated Intelsat General has become "the dominant force in providing satellite services to the US Federal, state and local government, NATO members, and the contractors and integrators who support them – an amazing feat for a company that was born in 2004."
